Default My Type-Rs previous owner - CyprusScooby

Hi guys

Have been here for a while now, but haven't got time or opportunity to say hi.
The name is Peter and live in Rep of Ireland.

By searching the old posts, I found the very first UK owner of my STi Type-R ver5

It's Ewan (CyprusScooby) and he doesn't seem to have been here for a while..

I wondered if anyone still has contact with him?

I'm sure He would be glad to find out he's ex Scooby is in good hands!

I bought it off the member on www.isdc.ie in december 2008.

Since then pumped a lot of money (there is no end to be seen) and it has a new EJ22 forged engine (mapped and enhanced by Simon JGM )

Now pushing a bit over 340 bhp still on standard VF28

Since I got the car
I've replaced
1) the gearbox (5speed dccd) as the previous one died, beside it happened, it was making funny noises on the 1st gear) Funnily enough Ewan was wondering what the noises where a couple of years back - it was the gearbox lol.

2) the engine (the previous one was rebuilt once before I bought the car, with the invoice for over 4k, and then died again (bottom end failure) even if it was treated like a baby.
Now as said above a new 2.25 forged built went in, mapped by Simon, so far so good.

3) FMIC - brand new HDI GT2 fitted by myself a few years ago.
4) Harvey's ported manifold setup with matched up pipe.
5) new BC coilovers and Whiteline bits (rear and front arb, alk, alloy droplinks all around)

A few pics

Looks fantastic mate & some excellent pics that enhance the landscape rather than the car lol!

Thanks man!
I believe Subarus don't require enhancements in the pics! They speak for themselves!

@Codders Nice to see you still have it mate. Would love to see some more photos of it. I always regretted selling the car and it was originally my intention to keep it forever.
I still have the photos somewhere from when I first bought it in Cyprus.
