Can anyone answer this please?
Right here's the question! ...
Thinking of buying a set of hells supertones off s member on here and he says that only the horns are for sale. Im sure they will fit on the existing horn brackets but Am I right in saying that these wont work with the standard wiring. Is the a relay harness involved Somewere I heard or am I wrong??
Thanks in advance
Ash

From what I've read previously, you will need to install a relay. It's not too difficult a job to do, just need to run a wire from the battery, a wire to the horns, 1 to earth and plug the existing horn wire to the relay.

Wire in a relay that you can get from Halfrauds for a fiver - use the standard horn wiring as the switch for the relay and a fused live from the battery. You could probably adapt the old style stereo brackets in lieu of the missing brackets, there's one bolt on the back that attaches to any bracket

When I bought mine there was no wiring with it, just a diagram. They do not come with wiring in the box as standard but some sellers may add a relay as they cost peanuts trade

I just ordered a set from the US, and including postage it worked out to $123.53 which is about £77. Saying that I may get hit for import duty as well. A lot of folk reckon you don't need a relay as the stock relay and wiring will handle it ok.

The stock relay should be fine, but the instructions state you must fit another so it all depends on how worried you are about a warranty. It's not a big job and should only take 30-minutes or so with the right tools
