Assuming you're not launching the car at 5K rpm

Fan belt?

I'd've gone with fan belt too, but OP says he's checked, etc...

Nope not launching. Just when the engines under load pulling off from the lights or something.
I've also reversed the inlet manifold and taken the air con out so needed new belts anyways but all seem fine and tight. It don't sound like an every day fan belt screech. Totally different noise to be honest

I had this problem with my Evo. After hours of investigation and countless visits to BTRPrep, it turned out to be the missus.

OP, it might be your clutch is worn. When it next screeches dip the clutch and see if it stops.

Could it be the clutch release bearing?
I've had this problem before and it made a screechy
kind of noise. Clutch was changed last year but
don't think it was greased so fixed the problem with
the old WD40 trick.

May not be that your clutch is worn then, it might just be your clutch!

Does it only happen when your releasing the clutch or does it still do it with the clutch fully released?

It's hard to explain
I only hear it when pulling off it never happens when changing gears or any thing like that only when you pull off from lights or stand still when under load. I thought it might of been the engine moving back ad forward on the mounts but I had a quick look and they seem fine might need to get under the car and have a better look

If you were to try and set off with the handbrake on would it constantly make the noise or does it do on squeak then stop. If it was engine mounts or something moving it would only do it once until the said moving part got to its moved position. If it does it constantly then I say clutch.

Could it be your power steering pump?? Just as you pull away the pump could be under strain or a little worn resulting in a squeel noise? Use to happen on my m3 same situation but would be fine when moving, does it do it lock to lock on the steering as mine did but also when pulling off, just a thought
