Well it was gonna happen!
Friggin' lack of 99 Ron in Scunthorpe. I've been running on fumes for two weeks waiting on payday to fill up with Tesco goodness, even using the tredder to get to work. I'd run approx 25-30 miles with the fuel light on so was pretty close to disaster.
I even got up earlier for work to fill up and treat the old girl. Get down Tesco... petrol station is closed for full refurbishment! No prior warning and my only source for 99 Ron.
Bugger.
My voyage then sees me visit the Sainsburys garage a couple miles away for their 97 (off boost and minimal fill up). Closed for refurbishment
This is a conspiracy!
Another couple miles to what was the old Shell garage and is now Apple. At this point I'm genuinely worried she's gonna cough and give up. Even 95 Ron is adequate to just see me to work.
Luckily they are actually open and have what I believe to be 97 super in. £20 and off boost now till the tank is dry. Agent 'ilogikal1' has reported that both Tesco's in Hull have adequate supplies so a daring mission across the bridge is to be undertaken.
That is all

You will know you are in real trouble when you start to hear the fuel pump, and it changes it pitch tone as it starts sucking air.
There is probably 1-3 miles of fuel left when that happens. ...and whatever you do don't drive round a left bend

It wouldn't be too bad but both Shell garages here have packed up and converted to a Jet and Green Apple garage. So Tesco is the only 99 Ron garage within a few miles. Gonna run her stylish and brim the tank to dilute it.
When Sir Bob mapped it he said off boost 95/97 is fine as an emergency although I sometimes think a 97 Ron remap would have been a wiser choice.
Esso super is 97 like others isn't it? And as for BP Ultimate, I'd have rather run out and pushed the car to work
