Default Scoop after FMIC fitting

After fitting the FMIC and removing the splitter/rubber skirt from under the scoop, I've put a section of mesh over the hole. I'm a bit concerned about the rain and crap that could find it's way into the engine bay. What have people put under the scoop? (Considered a cold air feed to the filter but not sure ducting would clear?)

I've got nothing......the airflow through the scoop is pretty poor at the best of times

I've got a sheet of mesh under mine purely to stop hands getting in!

I suppose it helps to cool the IC pipework which is directly under the scoop!

Cools pipeworrk and turbo, plus GEARBOX, and aids underbonnet airflow.

Harvey has done tests.

Exactly as above. I removed the scoop when I went FMIC on a particular car as I wanted to go for the "Sport" look. A real sleeper. I soon decided, after using max min thermometer, infra red thermometer and observing ACTs that this was not a good idea.
I would leave the scoop in position. Remove the under tray if you wish. No mesh or anything else required.
