I want to sorn a car as iam breaking it but don't have a drive,

Can I have it parked on a quiet road under a cover with the plates taken off sorn?

It has to be totally off the public highway mate, so if parked on a road the answer is No

as steve says - you could also get done for not having insurance and road tax

If it ls not sorn it HAS to be insured regardless of where it's kept.
If on public road it also needs tax as well as insurance.
If it is sorned it must be kept on private property.

You may 'get away with it' but keeping a cover over it will draw attention. Do you have a friends house you could break it at ??
