Default new anti-modified car regulations explained for a non-petrol head!

shamelessly taken from another website..

"i’ve tried over the past few months to try and come up with a way of explaining to any ‘Non car enthusiast’ just why we get so irate at the continuous barrage of regulations which attempt to stop us from pursuing our hobby. In light of the fact that most feel ALL they are trying to do is stop people from modifying a car thus making it dangerous (Not of course the case) I thought perhaps this:-
MOST accidents happen in the home in particular the kitchen so surely the following would JUST be in the public interest…

It is proposed that all domestic homes built in the future on are subject to Building Type Approval. This means that from a date to be set all houses are constructed in a manor laid down from a set of approved plans. Each design must be tested for safety and as part of this process four houses to this design must be submitted for testing. Test to include being burned down, flooded, earthquake, and lightning strike. In order to pass this requirement those wishing to build a property will be required to supply the houses to be destroyed plus a substantial fee for the tests. Once approved all houses to this design may NOT be modified. Doors, windows, and kitchen fittings may be changed but ONLY using approved after-market ones. The colours a house are built with must remain throughout its life and if any part such as the garden gate is found to be missing this will cause a fine for non-conformity.
All houses in existence to this point will be subject to controls over their existing status. Houses built before 1960 will be classed as ‘Historic’ and must be returned to their original status when built. If said property had no central heating say when built, this must be removed, likewise such things as double glassing and fire prevention and safety systems such as fire escapes.

It is also proposed (In the name of safety) that all houses be given a lifespan of 20 years. Once they reach this age ALL houses must be demolished…"

Don't laugh, they're serious alright, why do you think we get so many jap cars over here of a certain age? This happens a lot and they do want it to happen, it's ridiculous but it will mean more money in the toss pot politicians pockets. Take this seriously, it could happen. Great write up above though lol

Took this from aces website.

Yeh I’d take it with a pinch of salt. I’m not going to be putting my car back to standard any time soon!

it's NEVER going to happen in this country...too hard to legislate and enforce, not to mention the huge amount of tax derived revenue the government takes from the industry...and the official word;
