Default Blob front & rear speaker upgrade

Looking at upgrading my front & rear door speakers in the next few weeks as the standard 1's are crap. What do most people recomend? Not after anything special, just something with abit more bass. Any help would be appreciated. Also am i right in saying 13cm front doors and 10cm rear doors? Paul

you really need to dynamat the doors and fit spacers to get deeper speakers in as the oem ones are very shallow.

speakers depend on what you want to pay but i have hertz which cost about £150 for all four but sound great and the fronts are components

I used Dynomat years ago on a Vectra, but it wasn't the foil type. Do you still need to press it on with a small roller ideally?

How much and where from? To do all four doors.

Either will work, I think I have read the Corsa spacers are the same but cheaper
I made MDF for mine, another option is to use the plastic ring from the grill of the speakers as a spacer
Vibe blackair work well for me in front and rear

The rears are so small its not worth buying new ones, just spend that extra money on better front ones i.e. component speakers.
Providing your head unit allows you to fade the rears out slightly, they wont distort.
I also have a 12"sub and amp to give you the bass you need, its easly able to be removed if you need the full boot space too.

My take on it was, you get a better sound quality from the whole system.
Maybe slighty more to buy, but if you only upgrading once get the best you can.

I used this stuff in my boot for sound deadening. Found it very reasonably priced and went on well. Good results too. Going to get the door kits for when I do the doors.
