Which Falken Tyres?
First of all, Sorry. I know the "Which Tyres" thread has been done to death but i'm struggling after finding nothing on the search.
I need a pair of 205/45/R17 to fit a classic P1 wheel. I do recall reading numerous threads and there were a lots of people recommending the Falkens.
My problem is i've searched for the falken but i'm not sure which ones were recommended.
Or if you can recommend any other tyres for around £100 a corner or less i'd be grateful.

FK452s are the directional version, ZE912s are the slightly less performance oriented asymmetric version.
They also now do a high performance FK453 asymmetric tyre.

A local non-franchise tyre place normally will - ignore the ATS's of this world.
Have had the Kumho KU-31s and rated them pretty highly especially for the price.
F1s, Contis and the like are great but £100 per corner fitted would be pushing it a bit.
At the moment, I'm running BF Goodrich g-Force profilers which have been good too and have worn really well... 20k miles plus at the moment and still got plenty of meat on them. Should be able to get them for < £100 per corner fitted. Think I still preferred the Kumhos to them though. Am interested in trying out the KU39s, especially for £65 each from Camskill.

Thanks, thought as much. Just had a little brain wave though, i can't have 215s on the front and 205s on the rear.
An update though for anyone living this way. I've done loads of ringing around and i've found a company called Heathrow Service Centre. They have come out far cheaper than anyone else and are close to the prices offered by camskill yet fully fitted and balanced etc
Their details for info
Heathrow Service Centre
Unit 3, Galleymead Road
Colnbrook
Berkshire

Get a "back street" tyre place to fit them for you. A lot of them aren't as bad as you first think......some are though.
I went to a local back-street tyre place to swap a tyre from one rim to another. He charged me £10 (including balancing (and not the old rim type weights)). He even used a brand new (I saw him open the packet) gold socket that had a white rubberised coating on the end to protect the alloy. Never had that from any of the big named tyre places I've used in the past. No damage to the rim at all.
