Default Chatter on full throttle?

Just curious really, when I'm in 5th at about 60mph (on a motorway) and I floor the throttle as the boost builds I get the usual turbo wine then it's followed by what sounds like turbo chatter whilst it's still boosting? Why would this be? Turbo is a VF34 running about 1.4-1.5 bar on full boost.

it could be that but its more likely to be a knackered actuator like I had on my VF35. Only used to do it when holding boost in the taller gears like 4th/5th.

changed the actuator and it fixed it.

Does it drop boost when it chatters? What dump valve you running? Could be a dump valve problem.

Running a HKS SSQV, it doesn't seem to drop boost according to my gauge readout. It tends to chatter for a few seconds as the boost peaks then goes (in 5th).

Same here HKS and no drop. Thought it was normal although my classic never did it.

So is this a problem or just something that happens with the mods I have? Thinking of going back to recirc soon anyway if it's the DV causing issues. I'd be surprised if its the actuator as its a pretty new turbo but worth a check, how would I go about checking it?

It normal mate, it will chatter when under load in high gear until the full boost is on then chatter will go,if you knock it down a gear and it won't chatter.
Normally happens with induction kits.
