Hi

i am looking to get a remap soon and wanted to know what else i need before i go for it but dont want to spend a lot more ££.
I have:
de cat up pipe

I live up in cumbria where is the best place up this way to get a Remap at a decent price?

Also i am looking to do the cam belt whats the going rate to have it done?

Thanks in advance

Fuel pump not really nessercery in my experience unless your looking to take things even further with a bigger turbo an so on.

I did the same sort of mods for my first map but have gone further with it now.

Another 1 for Duncan or scoobyclinic.

Decat the downpipe too.
pink fuel injectors.
Go for a new fuel pump to be on the safe side of things too.
STI intercooler undertray (To allow your sti intercooler to work correctly)
vf35 turbo.
+ Remap.

Then your talking 300bhp+ easy

So when he said I don't want to spend a lot more £'s, a VF35 & Pink injectors are not exactly cheap! £350+ for the turbo and £100+ for the injectors at least.

Don't get me wrong I know what your getting at, save the money by doing one map but I was in he same situation and just couldn't afford it so ended up doing it in stages.

For what a fuel pump costs it's a no brainer. Fit one just for peace of mind if nothing else.
De-cat downpipe or if you can stretch to a sports cat downpipe then that's another good mod.
Other than that your pretty much there, good mapping session and you'll be up towards 300bhp and have a much nicer driving car.

I never understood that, you cant afford it, so you end up doing it in stages, but doing it in stages always costs more when your mapping inbetween each stage etc. I know its extra money for the turbo and injectors, but for what the extra cost is its a massive upgrade and improvement, and I say if you cant afford it just save up that little bit longer untill you can. Im sure everyone does things different, but thats just my take. The list is there for vicks to pick what he/she does or does not want to include.

If you have an open sourced map the tweak afterwards is a fraction of the cost.

Each to their own though.

i`m a bloke, vicks is my nick name as my surname is vickers.?
i dont want to go mad trying to get a lot of BHP some where around 300 will do.
only had the car 2 weeks and its my first impreza and i love it, just want a little more power and quicker throttle responce.
i have bought the K&N,afterburner vortex cat back,60mm centre pod and gauges,STI 7 intercooler and decat up pipe.
looked at the sports cat but cant afford it just yet as i need to do the cam belt asap.
possibly do the turbo and injectors in a few month once i have put some ££ back in my account.
