Defo not there is a dip in power, at 4.5k the turbo should be pulling hard

I owned a similar car fella, yours is less laggy as mine spooled up between 4-5k, still went like a monster though.

i think you need to speak to your mapper as they should be able to spot or identify this, suprised they didnt mention anything about it at the time?
id suggest getting that looked at first before changing turbo etc

my Graphs have that spike, albeit at 3500rpm,321H/2.5, this at RCM on both maps Vpower and 20%meth, I'm certainly not worrying about it as it's not a boost spike.

its not a boost spike but something up, maybe plugs or something to do with fuelling etc? i would imagine you can notice it in the car when accelerating though as a hesitation or pulling back?

Sure one of the big name genius mappers will be able to give an opinion.
But it will always have lag. as the T was designed to run with a 2.2 or 2.35 etc not 2 litre engine

So if I get it billeted it will be better? But surely that doesn't explain that spike ??

The newer DD software seems to do that a lot, seen it on Evos too.
It makes it look like there's a problem, where there actually isn't.

So it's prob nothing? I'm questioning the mappers skills as he's very respectable and I trust him with my car. But like I say just want help making it spool up faster etc

First thought was a big crack of det making the ECU pull timing/boost but it does look a bit extreme for that?
JohnD
PS You get exactly the same curve on a tensile test on low/med. carbon steel!
