sc42 and sc46 has a waste gate dude, so you don't need an external one

Extenal wastegates do the same essential job and the ones built into the turbos above but just more efficiently when you have bigger power applications.

You have the choice with external ones of having a "screamer pipe" which vent the gases to its own little pipe or plumbing them back into the exhaust which i have read effects the flow of gases a little out the turbo. Screamer pipes sound unreal at full chat in tunnels hhhhmmmmmmmm sex wee

Please correct me if im wrong about any of the above if there are wiser peeps reading this thraed that is just what i remember reading.

Oh yeah! I may be wrong as well... but I believe that with a EWG and screamer pipe, the wastegate will open up pretty much as soon as boost builds when you're at WOT and will stay open the whole way up, dumping all fumes straight from the uppipe into the environment. It almost sounds like VTEC from a Honda kicking in when it opens but 100x louder. I also believe it helps the boost build more quickly. I thought about doing this mod for a bit more power and quicker boost... along with the cool sound... but decided not to due to emissions.

external gates always add more torque and hp. why? they increase VE.

they eliminate boost spikes, promote faster spool, and make the exhaust housing act larger because so much gas is bypassed before the turbine

So it wud be wise to add one while I'm having a new turbo fitted. Where can I buy a screamer pipe from too?

You will have to get a turbo in the first place that doesnt have a built in wastegate though. The ones you have listed above already have on fitted.
The pipe is litarally just that so most are custom make, some people vent them through the front bumper...

you get the wastegate welded up but internal wastegates must have got better lately because externals were very popular at one point but not so much now
