Default No time for idiots.

I am having an afternoon in the office today so i can catch up with some invoices and certificates when i have someone knock on my door asking if 1 of the vehicles on my drive is for sale as i have not moved it in a while the car itself is an 05 tdci 6 speed mondeo.
I replyed maybe it depends make me an offer and ill say yes or no.
I let him know everything about the car ie the back box has come off causing some damage to the rear bumper, 4th gear is stiff to get into but once in is fine. needs general tlc which i have not the time to give it.
I start it and bearing in mind it has not even been started in at least 4 months and starts straight away but has a minor top end rattle for a second or so if that.
The guy then starts on." yeah the gear box is knackard needs a new 1 and the engine injectors and pumps gone thats why it did that rattle all the body work needs a respray and new bumper "ect.
At this point im just well whatever ill keep it and retax it and use it i dont need to sell, so i say to the bloke to be fair mate if you see that many problems with it then it best you dont buy it and ill keep it (said in a calm polite manner).
The guy then gets the hump with me cos i decided i dont want to sell to him giving me a bit of verbal and the gets in his car and wheelspins (as much as you can in a knackard on skoda taxi) off down my road.

Is this really the sort of mature attitude that is expected thesedays?

Hmmmmm tempting but no!!!! lol

It just amazed me that he knocked on my door asking to buy the car we did not even get to the stage of a price discussed.
His first words when was looking at the car was to pick every single fault and amplify it to make the car sound lots worse then it is.
Do not get me wrong i know its no show winning car it is a 7 year old work horse that does 60mpg if driven sensible and has the power to transport 5 adults and a boot full of tools everyday. it is what it is i know what it is i know what needs doing to it.
How any one has the power to know that this is wrong and that is wrong with a car before its even been driven or put on a diagnostic machine is far beyond me, then getting an attitude and throw toys out the pram when i politely refuse to sell a car that was not for sale in the first place
