Has anyone got one of these on their Blobeye?

used to have a quick release/snapp of steering wheel on a blob ,

bought a steering boss from demon tweeks then quick release boss from ebay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/QUICK-RELE...ht_5485wt_4378

I don't have it fitted any more , but if i was too have another one, I would go for the life line quick release boss

Is there a way of doing this without putting the airbag light on? Is it technically legal on a road car? I'm assuming a picky mot tester would fail a road car for not having the airbag in operation?

the works bell kit comes with all hardware to do the complete job resisters for the air bag light to stay out etc... minus the steering wheel, you will still have to buy a boss that suits your car and the quick release bolts onto that and your steering wheel onto the quick release.Another good quick release boss is the NRG kit which the subaru owners in the states are always raving about.the works bell boss is made in japan and you can purchase from playskool motorsport and the NRG kit is made in the USA and you can purchase it from funky power.SJ.

one more thing stay well clear of the cheap as chips quick release boss's on ebay you think you are getting a bargin because compared to the works bell and nrg boss's that cost in the hundreds they only cost from £25 to £45 pound but if you do a quick search of people nearly getting killed with the steering wheel coming off the boss mid corner or when braking you understand that you definately get what you pay for with the cheap ebay boss's A sub standard product not fit for purpose, you have been warned stay well clear.SJ.

yeah a friend of mine has the sparco one and he has never complaind about it and is happy with the way it feels but he bought his from demon tweeks a reputable seller, there are so much snide products on ebay you cant really tell whats gold from tin.Never chance it unless you know where the seller is sourcing his parts from im not going to say everyone that sells on the bay are cowboys but why take the chance with safety if its a car shampoo then maybeSJ.

As above Works Bell is best kit, what I know
We are using Works Bell boss kit, before we are used D1 Spec Quick release kit(we are tried this on track or drag strip),which has been spotless, just with deep dish steering wheel we are removed this D1 Spec quick Release kit,due steering wheel has been too close

Here is old setup

Sensible move mateLike everyone i love a good bargin but if it comes at the expense of safety you have to ask yourself the question,is it really a bargin or just cheap tack?Or as they say mutton dressed as lambSJ.
