Default Recirc DV query?

It is sort of a what DV thread as I've tried to search for the info but can't find exactly what I want.

I want to go recirc as VTA gets on my nerves, I'd just forgotten how much as it was a long time ago I last had one on an Impreza. The car came with it and I always had the intention of replacing it, but today has made me realize it's going to be sooner rather than later. Anyway I've got a front mount so I can't just stick a recirc on for obvious reasons which is a shame as I have a standard newage recirc in my cupboard. What I want to know is can I buy a Recirc DV that will work with what I've got (picture below) or can I make the standard one work with some kind of flange? also will the standard one run ok at 380bhp+? and finally will it be ok just sticking a recirc back on with it being mapped with the VTA? Finally who sells or can anyone point me in the right direction to who sells what I'll need?

Lots of Q's

Thanks Aaron

Harvey on here sells flanges for using fitting stock recirc to a hose fitting.
standard recircs are pretty easy to find on here or ebay for £10-£40
Map tweak shouldn't be necessary unless it runs wrong after fitting recirc

Yeah I've got a standard recirc, just need a fitting kit/adapter.

Thanks

Should be a doddle to refit a recirc on there. You can see the bung where it would fit to return the your inlet pipe.

Mine was easy to do, just needed more parts than you'll require.

Adaptor off Harvey and you should be good to go.

Cheers Micky, I've refitted them before just onto a top mount though so easier. I've emailed Harvey so I'll wait on him. Has he a website still as the link through his username doesn't work

My only concern is that the bunged hose doesn't reach the recirc.

Not sure if Harvey still has a website.

You'd fit the recirc into the bunged hole, bolt the adaptor to it, and hopefully use the silicon pipe you have already to connect to the intercooler pipe.

You may need to buy a different, possibly slightly angled silicon pipe, but that should be quite cheap if you need to.

I think, all in it cost about £25 for me to go back to a recirc.

Cheers Micky, I sent him the above photo with my email asking his advice if he thinks I need an elbow piece of some kind, or at least an extra bit of hose. My only concern is that I'll require a map tweak due to the car being mapped with the VTA on

Thanks Alcazar, I'm only going to go ahead with the swap if it's 100% ok even if the bloody thing does annoy the hell out of me

When i asked Duncan (Dynamix) about going back to recirc after being mapped with vta he said a map tweak would only be necessary if it doesn't run right after the swap. It should be fine.

Thanks Don, I wasn't doubting you just it's good to hear it from others too. Harvey has been back in touch so I've purchased what I need.
