Angry pole position

I had always heard good reports of these, but I was amazed with the attitude I had when I phoned today.
I asked if they had any WRX boot springs in stock as I had fitted an alloy spec c boot to my 2005 sti, The response I had made me feel he was trying to make me look a fool, He stated that alloy bootlids are a myth and spec c had same boot as I had taken off, even said he had compared the 2 himself and was adament they weighed the same, he did state the glass was thinner. Well thanks to that conversation at least I now know they can't be Subaru specialists, one call to Litchfilds and they are getting me a price for new MY06 spec c springs for Monday, If pole position had some WRX springs in stock I would have gone down with a magnet to prove it. At least I know where not to go if I need an expert to look at my car,
I just hate being treated like I am stupid when I am not.

Sorry rant over.

Bit of an overreaction, dunno who's right or not as I'm not into newage cars but its not like they told you to F off or anything.

Had bits and bobs done by Pole Position (always been very pleased with work done) and bought a few second hand parts off them as well, always made me feel welcome (even bought me breakfast and a can of coke when I was there last time lol), they've always been polite, always been a good laugh and Matty took the time to show me all the projects he was working on (3 door blobeye = beasttttttt)

PolePosition = top lads

I cant rate Pole position highly enough, they have really helped me out with loads of parts plus they did my clutch.

I go there once a week at least, for a chat if nothing else, and as muttleyturbo says to look at the project cars.

so maybe there was some miss communication or something?

always been really welcoming to me.

I think it is abit of over reaction indeed. I guess they haven't called you stupid like you quoted? It's very tricky with these alloy parts, some of them are pure myth. The guy at pole position has made a mistake, but theres no need to slate them as you did Daz, sorry. They are scooby specialists , and everyones dealing with them with no problem. I'm saying this not because i had bought a couple things of Matty, just this little situation is not worth slating the lads yet. Life is to short for hatred.

Just move on ....

Must admit I may of over reacted a bit, I have had a pm from Matty at pole position and I take back what I said, seems whoever answered the phone didn't know much about newage cars, but there are others who do, its just annoying when you are 100% certain you are right but are not believed, no harm done really.

No nothing that bad, offered to sort ordering the part if I wanted and asked me to speak with him if I phone again, not a bad offer really. I also have recovered from the shock of being told a part on my car doesn't exist, funny really when you think about it,

A little bit of over reaction imho, I know they told you some incorrect information, but everyone can make a mistake. If they had been bad mannered & abusive then that's not on, but even GENUINE Subaru dealers get it wrong when you can order parts. Matty is not a one man army & more often than not he pops out and one of the other lads may answer the phone, and they are not as knowledgeable as what Matty is on scooby spares.
Personally I have found all the guys there brilliant and really helpful, so maybe your rant was a bit ott - just my opinion of course.

Always foind Matt to be overly helpful when asking questions even though I might not have been buying from him.

Perhaps you spoke to a member of staff and not Matt who didn't have as much knowledge.
