Default Which impact gun

Im after buying a 1/2" drive 24v impact gun but dont want to spend £450 on a snap on one as im no proffessional but just something handy when at the track plus it saves valuable time and effort.

What are your choices if any and experiences of such

cheers lee

You could have a look at the Makita BTW251RFE 220lbs/ft torque, I have the impact driver from the same range (only 160lbs/ft) which is only designed for putting screws in but with a hex to 1/2 inch adaptor I use it to whiz my wheelnuts off & on after cracking them with a strong bar. And it seems to go forever on one charge!

Also - there are stacks of other tools in the range that use the same batteries and you can buy them all "naked" e.g. without batteries or charger.

I had a sealey one, lasted a year and struggled to undo anything. I replaced it with a Snap On & it undoes everything & is as good as new 2 years later. They are pricey, but well worth it.

I use a snap on one down the garage and yes understand your comments will undo anything but just a little pricey for me as it wont be used day in day out .

You do get what you pay for i known was looking at the seeley ones and they seem fine for a DIY enthusiast like myself.

Really wouldn't buy the Sealey mine wasn't up to much. Perhaps the Dewalt or Mac if not shelling out on a Snap on. Just my personal experience, you may feel like you wasted your money on a Sealey, mine was so lame I sent it back but they returned it saying it was normal. Very poor.

Ahhhhh stay away from Sealey and Bosch. Tried both and they failed. Invested in a snap on and will admit its bit pricey but worth it

Bloddy hell £450 just for 1 tool, you can buy a 3kw genny, a compressor and a rake of air tools for that much these days.

It's the mobility of it I need, can't really travel around with a 3kw genny in the boot all the time

At £450 they are pricey but I have used mine all day every day for the last few years & it's never let me down. It undoes virtually anything & beats my IR air gun hands down infect can't remember when I last bothered with the air gun.

another snap on vote here, been used nearly every day for at least 3 years! dropped, bashed, dipped in oil coolant etc and still never misses a beat.

just a shame they changed the batteries so u cant use the newer lith ones with the older guns.
