completely different cars from the outset!

RWD Grand tourer thingy or FWD rally beast!

Obviously posting on Scoobynet you understand you will get a somewhat impartial opinion from us!

Seriously though you can make scoobies go very quick or make Supra's go even quicker (in a straight line anyway!!! )

But as with all things it costs money!

I thought about this before I bought my P1 - I could get a more powerfull Supra for less but i'm not the type to leave a car as standard (and i'm also not the best driver in the world by a long stretch) - so I felt safer when I drove the scooby, based on what I have planned for it too.

So I bought it!

I presume you have posted on Some supra sites to get a balanced arguement?

I bought my supra in late Jan.... was close to buying a bright yellow STI III type R.... but the garage sold it whilst i was out of the country

just curious!

C - I used to have a corsa... still do, but a diferent one now (if thats where youve seen my name!) I use the same user name on all boards... Plus ive been on here before... getting advice on Imorted Impreza's etc!

Just interesed in other folks opinions, my mate (he might be on this board actually!! )has a std UK spec turbo impreza and he thinks he would beat my std Supra TwinTurbo.... i think other wise!

I've raced two Imprezas at Crail 1/4, got beat by both... but i can say i could have beaten one of them... the other... nope! i'll admit i didnt have a chance... esp as they had oil all over the starting line!

a quick pic for you to

I had a Jap Supra non-T for 6 months. Different beast compared to Scooby.

Supra was better for cruising the motorway, tailslides, and pimpin'!
Cr4p for parking (too wide), city driving, less practical (boot/rear space).

My STi is pumping about 2-3mpg better and its faster.

Can't comment on TT Supra as I've never driven one.

Love my scooby but miss the big cruiser in some ways

Oh and Supra took longer to wash!!!

Tailslides... yip certainly need big ***** or decent racelogic TC if want to get anywhere quickly in the wet!

Washing - it takes TOO long to wash... its bloody huge

my best 1/4 mile time in it (std at the time with 17's on and a leaky vacuum pipe to the first turbo) was 14.03... beating an M3 (non evo) by about a cars and a bit length!

I've driven a stock UK turbo impreza and a 'alleged' 300bhp STI Type R... its just the noise of the boxer engine thats soooooo good!

The STI wasnt to slow either ... but wasnt flat out!!

what 1/4 mile times are the norm for stock STI's and UK spec turbos

With a standard P1 i've got a 12.98

Car is in the process of being made to go faster now - going up to santa pod soon to check out the differences!

Nice looking supra! - what bodykit is that - it looks a little tame for Veilside?

Isnt the 0-60 of a supra TT about 4.9 seconds..... so i would suspect its faster than a uk impreza turbo... but may be close in the wet..

Just my 2p worth

the front is Veilside, or a veilside replica.... side skirts and rear bits im sure are veilside too..

The rear spoiler is std

the 0-60 of a 320bhp UK spec Supra may be under 5secs... doubnt my auto would be! maybe with a bit of grip
