Guys,
I just got this from MCN:
We're first with this breaking news. Go to the link and read about
it in full!
Motorcycle owners registered with the Department of Vehicle Licence
and Administration are being informed of a new Department of
Transport and the Regions initiative. A large number of motorcycles
deemed by the Government to be 'unreasonably and uncontrollably
powerful' are now required by law to have limiters fitted. Research
carried out by a select committee has shown that enforced speed
restriction will reduce road traffic accidents involving motorcycles
by up to 80%. This is just one in a series of road safety
initiatives announced by the transport authorities today.
Further information regarding the new Road Traffic directives can be
found at

No it's not - it works, you've got a problem with your subnet/proxy (poxy) server M8...

Don't you mean - Very Bad - They can't be allowed to sneak this kind of legislation through the back door and hope to get away with it......

Some of the manufacturers have installed "limiters" for the really quick bikes (GSZR1000 and ZX-12R) to name a few. Its gonna make a real difference to accident figures - NOT - they dont go any more than 186mph!!! What a joke.
Im all for limiting top speed but not power!!! Accelaration is what bike are about. Otherwise you might as well drive a scooby all the time!!

Of course - because the mail came from MCN, it didn't occur to me that it may be a joke so just clicked on the link in the mail. I enterted my bike details and was presented with the large lady.....
I was well and truly suckered in... Doh!!!

Now this is quite good.. The joke's dead now, but the URL (http://1056879256) is quite a good 'un. It's a decimal representation of an IP address...
Being sad, it equates to 62.254.178.152
Quite a neat technique for further obfuscating the server name though. Like it.
Nick.
(crawling back under a stone right now)
