Just a question, have you ever checked the prices of Lancaster Servicing against someone else?? They were £80 MORE than a dealer not 20 miles away!! Quite a saving! (for the 2 year service)

Hi out there, first time I've used the site. My warrenty is about to run out on my Impreza and i've been offered one year's extra at £348. Should I bother to renew. The car has done 35500 miles

Yes my dealer is Lancaster of Pangbourne and I wish it was for two years. When I originally bought the car from them I'm sure they said the extra warrenty would last for another three, but I've been through all my paper work and Ican't find anything to back it up.

Which Garage is that? Is it the Subarru dealer in Taplow nr maidenhead? I've only gone back to them as that is where I bought the car and I have always found them very helpful.

Stubarru,
Thats what I was told when I bought mine back in Feb 01 from sales bloke at Ace Kensington. Could have been talking rubish, or they may have moved the goalposts since. It may be worth checking with a number of different dealers, to see if there is any variation in their stories.

I think the answer is if you intend to keep the car standard and want european breakdown cover then @ £500 for 2 years it is ok as the breakdown cover will cost £200 of that and £300 for 2 years warranty is ok.

At renewal time, you can get Subaru Assist on it's own for £69 which is very good VFM.
If you are honest chap, the warranty renewal people don't like *any* mods even pads & discs.
