Im planning for the worst, and asking if anyone has an engine they looking to seel. ive looked through for sale section and e-mailed a couple, but there might be more.........

Engine confirmed as broken No compression on 1+2, low on 3+4. Also found water in the oil

So, now on the hunt for a replacement...................

Thats my fault , a friend helped me, so lesson learned lol. Unfortunately, when we stripped to find fault we assumed the valve we found was only issue, now, I dont think it was only issue.

Fortunately, build was cheap and I have obtained some nice new bits!!

I would recommend fit JDM V7/V8 Bottom end and if its possible re-use your heads and you will be OK

But lesson learned as you are said...

Good luck matey

Cheers for the advive Jura.
V7 bottom end, will my v3 oil pump etc fit? And I bought unequal headers for the v3, any chance they will fit to?
Out of interest why a v7 bottom end?

NOT a great idea ! The vers 3/4 engine has pistons that stick out the top of the bore and uses thick head gaskets. The V7 / 8 has pistons that don't reach the top of the bore and uses thin head gaskets.

It can be done - but proper calculations need to be made to use the correct headgasket.

Done *****-nilly will have something like 7.4 : compression or on the alternate, somewhere in the 8.5 range Neither are good.

JDM V7/V8 bottom ends are most reliable and using semi closed deck(SCBD).Not sure about the oil pump, but someone will confirm this

Headers you can fit.

As i said this will be best possible thing for lower price than full rebuild.

But still think he will needs to get engine build someone who knows how it works and how to build etc.

Yeah I know Sonic, I messed up lol. Ive found an engine to put in now thanks to a fellow scoobynet member. Only a standrad sti, while I open the old one and find the problem.

If I can, Ill build a proper engine over the year for it
