Feel for you mate.
There's a major issue running on "VW Golf Forums" at the moment about serial scamer. My son was in the process of loosing 185 quids to him. However, he did a bit digging and stirred things up a bit and bullied a refund out of him (2 months down the line!). He'd been using multiple forum names and even bragging about it. Even after being named and shamed he's still goading people on the forums. The mods now have his IP address, photos of him on his Facebook page and know where he lives. Not sure long it will be 'til he needs crutches !!

Sorry to hear that dude. It happens to everyone unfortunately. I paid for an exhaust system for my vectra a few years ago. The guy agreed to post it for me so paid for recorded delivery. 3 months later still no sign of it so ended up driving 300 miles to get it. He was quite surprised to see me turn up on his doorstep..

I paid a guy £750 cash into his account for some engine parts a while back, I had won them through ebay and the guy sounded honest!!!!!, we chatted several times but the parts never turned up. I raised a case through ebay and as I had paid cash I never expected to get a refund, but I got 100% back through paypal :-)
If you won them through ebay it's worth raising case.

Get yourself registered on Clio website that he has posted on recently. Put the frighteners on him and see if that gets you your money back. If not (Id do it anyway) tell all over the site he is not trusted!!
I hate scammers!! I sold some mirrors on here end of last year. Not the greatest post count etc and even though the guy paid the paypal fees they were boxed securely and sent of straight away keeping the guy informed. It not hard to sell things and treat people as you would like to be treated. Saying that I bet this guy has a garage full of made up parts that he will try and rip people off with!!
Like I said. . . spam his ar$e on the other forums!!

The users nie and ashwrx are one of the same. Both have been banned from these forums. If you have been scammed by this person. Contact the police. Even if it is just to get a crime reference number, so plod can have it on record and use to tie it up with other complaints about the same person.
The more people that complain to the police, the more likely they'll pull their figure out.
Further general info here: (http://www.met.police.uk/fraudalert/reporting_fraud.htm) and here: http://www.actionfraud.org.uk/report_fraud
You can report it on line or via phone.
We will pass on any information reagrding this user to the authorities at their sole request (sorry it has to be via the police or court order).
When anyone conducts a sale be it good or bad. Please please use the iTrader to give feedback: https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...-feedback.html I've noted that once again nobody is using it - please use it so it help others!!! Only one feedback has been left on the one account despite the user conducting a number of sales on here.
And finally, yet again I have to say it, so this time I'm putting it in big red letters:
DO NOT use GIFT on Paypal!!
As by doing so you play right into a scammer's hands. Its generally accepted that the onus is on an individual to be careful with whom they deal with, why does this concept so diffcult to get through to people?
Also the same applies for direct back transfer between bank accounts - these also cannot be reversed, so you have to be 110% sure of the complete random stranger you are sending it to.
