Default cost of replacing 55 Plate WRX rear shocks

Hi
I have searched the threads but cant find answers to this question

the rear shocks need replacing and i have a cost from Extreme Scoobies who do the servicing of £500 for the pair fitting a OEM copy of the stock Subaru, is this good value as it is a lot of money.

I hope to keep the car for another two years as it has 90,000 miles now and i am happy with the standard Subaru set up so dont want to replace it all unless it saves money.

Mate the rear shock went on my scooby. It was then a reason to upgrade the coulovers. Got BC coilovers on there. Do a quick search and you will see how highly recommended they are.

it is the sort of settling feel when pulling up apparently the shocks develop a sort of ridge and then settle from that when you stop moving

Expose the shock absorber piston and give it a liberal silicone spray - that sorted mine!!

As mentioned camskills sell a new ones for around £200. I would expect to pay no more than £300 including fitting. My Subaru independent would do the lot for £270.
