Default Why do you do it to yourself?

There are plenty of fast motors out there all of which have pro's and con's...
I always seem to find myself heading back to a subaru and I don't know why.
Is it the sound? The status? Maybe the feeling of being a rally car driver on the snowy days.. Not sure!

What's everyone else's reason for having one of these wonderful cars?

The reason I bought mine.I had an Evo 3 for 5 years and absolutely loved it.
I started to fancy something bigger and rwd,so went to the garage I bought the Evo from and picked up an e46 BM.6 weeks later it was doing my nut in as I missed having a light turbo'd 4wd so I went back to the garage to get him to order another Evo,when he had just brought in this white type R.
That was that, fell in love and I still get excited everytime I get in it.

Show me another car which;
you can buy cheap
has a 0-60 of under 5sec
do basic maintenance/service yourself
take stuff up the tip
Go on family holidays
scream about like an idiot
Easily drive in snow/ice
tow my bikes, boat and a trailer

I'd by a different car if it covered all the above........

Jokes aside though, like others have said, there's not many cars out there that compare to the all round package that is the scooby

On my 4th now... as above, it ticks more boxes than any car I can think of plus it's a car with soul unlike some boring VAG box or other such mind numbingly boring car.

Look amazing and sound amazing, but i would happily loose the headers for more power, as long as i've got the looks.

Thanks
Sam

There not reasons, they are benefits. You telling me you wrote that list and then went hunting for a car based on that, i don't think so!

Thanks

Im on my third impreza now. Always thought of them as a famers car untill I worked at Ramsport/Prodrive many years ago. I found they were really easy to work on, everything easy to get at. I loved the sound they make, nothing comes close to the sound of a impreza and they look just stunning and goes like **** off a shovel. They can fit 5 people in, granted its a tad on the tight side and has a large boot.

On my third scooby now I bought my first one in 2000 because the insurance was half the cost of an Escort cosworth, had a brief spell with a ST205 GT4 that was a nightmare and saught comfort in another v5 type r.

It was either an E34 M5 a Legnum VR4 or a Legacy GTB.

GTB won me over

Buying the car was only the beginning. I never knew I'd be making good friends all over the country, going on many adventures in the UK and abroad. It's a lifestyle
