I'm not laughing at the amount spent, it's the measly 283bhp it is producing.

Especially with: "The engine was forged at 58000 miles and has all STI internals"?

Wouldn't you expect the figure to be closer to that with the "work" done?

I don't know the seller but as said hes not saying silly hp. Even on a budget 2k for a newage wrx to get 280 is about right if you done bolt ons. He might have wanted big power and done the engine to start with then ran out of money, lost his job, got is wife up the duff etc

Compared to the usal ebay links we get on here seems like a pretty normal add

I can't see any problems with that?

He's not stating a different turbo so 283 is about right what is the issue?

Looks like a nice over engineered engine. Forged up on standardish bhp. Will out live it owner

It's about the max for the WRX without new turbo but will make a great purchase for someone who wants to take it further. The only downside is (and I should know having lavished a fortune on my old WRX) is that with more power - better handling and certainly bigger brakes are needed. The brakes on a WRX running 225bhp are shocking enough - frankly they scare the hell out of you if running 270bhp+

It's seems you can't sell an impreza anymore, without getting slated on here, no wonder there so hard to get rid of

They are a nightmare to get rid off, why do you think people are breaking cars that's run without problems because you get more for parts then a whole car in the current market

Other than, "Drilled and grooved crankshaft".

It seems like a pretty fair advert.
