Hi guy's

As people can probable tell im quite desparate as it's a dream of mine i dont want to see get ruined out in the rain any longer

I could do the transporting of it for you if you get really stuck. Shame you're so far away, as it would cost a fair few notes in fuel. Let me know.

Any offer's or help would be greatly appreciated..

The car need's a lot of welding and then a good shotblasting. but if someone can make a start on it and keep it inside id greatly appreciate. I have only £1400 odd to put towards the shell (welding and that) this year.

Due to my mum's horses !! ( i get to stay back at my mum's for very little now so i cant be to pushy) i got to move it back outside..were it will just become a mess.

If your able to help tayscooby it be great to hear

my mob number 07523 657 961 if anyone can help

The floor on the inside is fine...Its the boot floor and the sills and drivers side front subframe mounting point area that are the worst. Heres some more infor from a pm i sent out earlier:

The windscreen a pillars are solid,Roofs solid so is the floor (Bar the boot floor) The front panel i can replace if i can get my hands on a new one or 2nd hand)

The car will be running 20 valve AAN running gear with a 6 speed box

The sills and boot floor are my main concern along with the subframe mount area (drivers side)

Front panel ( ill drill out the spot welds and hopefully replace in the future)

General overview of the car in the summer before it got totally stripped.

Rear boot panel area:

Drivers side front subframe area:

he works at Inverurie Autobody, but to be honest hes a perfectionist so wont do any work on it until it's in a dry, non damp place.
if someone else can provide that he'll prep it up to spraybooth stage. My own honda civic track car (jim king prepped!) is at inverurie autobody just now. you'll probably see it in the compound if you drive in from the rothie side and not the meldrum side. Its white ek9 style with the carbon spoiler.

Ahh right .. i was going to take the scooby there for a few little bit's and bob's when it's ready.

Ill be on the lookout for a place to keep it. mate. Dont know if ill have he pennies to do it though at £1400 . . see what he say's.?

I think i have seen it mate. Was round the bowling club a few days ago mate (weds morning)

Hopefully a standard garage would be okay for him to do some work on it?

standard garage is fine, just as long as you bring your welding plant and gas etc. goin by the pics he'll probably advise ALOT of replacement panels. best find quattro forum and locate best place to buy panels (inner and outer etc). Find prices for as much as you can so when he does "survey" the shell you can do a running total then add in whatever labour is coming. depends on how serious you want get with the whole rally thing. remember even a simple track car can be a money pit, let alone a classic restoration into a rally car?

if your super serious you'll need to allow for , rollcage mounting points (if your intending removing structral supports from doors, boot etc) ally floorpan at rear with ally fuel tank in rear seat/boot area? decent jacking points, seam welding etc the list goes on lol

he'll probably give you a day rate and teach you how to weld etc at the same time. i'll give his number once your all sorted out.

The new panels that will be put on i have orderd from Poland (of all places). there taken off genuine panels and have a good reputation for the fit.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Audi-Ur-Qu...#ht_500wt_1054

I was going to possible cut out the rear boot floor for a straight fit alloy floor. Rather than replace with oem.

The cage will be getting fitted by custom cages: Similar to the following but will be full weld in with a few extra custom bar's welded in.

http://www.customcages.co.uk/Rollcag...&type=Historic

It wont be going super serious competition based. It'll be for trackdays, hillclimbs and amateur tarmac rally's. And if it all stays road legal It be a minor miracle.

Once the car is inside ill more than willing for your brother to get in touch

Be careful with adding in your own "custom bars" as they can invalidate the certificate depending on what you do.

When I had my ur quattro a few years back I found quattroforum invaluable. Have you tried asking on there? I think a few have undertaken projects like yours and maybe able to assist?

Good Luck with it.

Im on quattroforum at the moment i have a long project thread on there. Id love to be able to do most the work on the shell myself. It's just the lack of facilities will probable be more of a hindrance.

Ill give you a text Will, If i can get it to a suitable dry garage . Get my hands on a rotisserie, Ill hopefully have the help and the pennies to crack on with it
