hi, im trying to find a definitive answer. what are the insurace groups (old 1-20) of the uk2000, WRX and sti. cheers.

All classics and all turbo?
UK turbo was 17, anything else was 20.

all the turbo's mate. i thought the 2000's were lower. will that mean the rb5 is 17 aswel? cheers

Yes RB5 was 17, lowest group were the uk turbo's.

I'm sure STIs were group 18 but I'm sure that changed and they moved up. The new groups are just confussing lol.

All import turbo imprezas were group 20. They have been like that for as long as I can remember.

thats why am asking. my trade policy says i can have whatever i want as long as it isnt 19+ insurance group. and as people want the same money for a shed uk 2000 as an sti id rather have that. i was told uk 2000 were 14, wrx was 16 and sti was 18. but everyone i ask says diffrent

Uk turbo of any model is group 17.

Import turbo's of any model are group 20.

cool. sadly that means its only a uk 2000 then. why are they so expensive? for 2.5k-3k i can get a decent sti but all the uk2000 are tatty high milers.
