Exclamation Pregnant Woman Mugged

Hi guys

Posting on behalf of a friend whose pregnant wife has had her bag stolen by some Scum Bag!. Lucky she's fine, just really shaken up by the incident.

The keys to the home and two BMW's went in the mugging together with some other personal items.

Does anyone know how to disable / un-program the lost car keys ? (std bmw alarm systems)

Thanks in Advance

Dealership contacted who cant do anything till Monday . Just wanna get both cars secured just in case....especially as the incident happen down the road and address details were also taken.

AA/RAC may be an idea if they offer a secure storage option.

If you have spare keys move or block the cars in. Get locksmiths to change the locks now including window ones as well if they were stolen. Just as a precaution tell them to saty at a B&B or hotel just so they calm down. Its completely understandable that she will be very paranoid now.

some people really are sick...

Have a look in the bushes around where it happened - can only hope they have no interest in keys & cards and just want cash for a quick fix.

If it helps you can leave your cars at mine. It may be miles away but a mate left his locally & walked to them and within 2 days they were gone.

Update:
Just called my mate, lock smiths are changing the house locks as I type . Both cars have been tucked away for the night.

Thanks for the suggestions/tips guys. Nice to know BMW can simply un-program the lost remotes.

Reprogramming existing key is only temporary solution, best is to have all the keys/locksets changed. Till then, take precautions. I was burgled last week and my both car/bike keys were stolen.

I would chop their fingers, scumbags

There's just one consolation to be had from the aftermath of this sort of event. Anybody who sinks so low as to attack somebody vulnerable in that way can't possibly recover from it. Sooner or later, it'll eat them up, or their behaviour will cause their destruction.
No, I'm not saying we should be sorry for them, I'm saying that once they've crossed that line, they are lost to the rest of us.
Tell her to hold her head up, she's on the right side.

I get ya mate....

Update:
The E93 M3 was put in storage earlier this afternoon at BMW, the 5 Series is also locked up out of sight..... According to BMW new locks on both cars should be done by Wednesday.

Most importantly the mother to be wasn't hurt in the incident..... material items can always be replaced.

Completely agree.
But this sort of incidents shouldn't happen, there is something seriously wrong in todays world. My solution is still the best, chopping their fingers and hands, will teach others...
