front end crash? Repaired with new pic.
Morning all, not a good morning.
Just smashed into a fiesta van doing about 20 ish maybe. Story is she stopped really hard and fast because of a car on our side of the road coming towards us and I just didn't see the van till to late. So I hit her and I think that means I'll get the blame.
Anyway I am fully comp with protected no claims but just wondering what you all think.
I am in Ipswich area and would like a good garage to fix this.
From what I can tell, bumper bonnet and 1 headlight.
The wings look ok.

Mate that doesn't look good, I can put you in contact with a local guy who works on my car and does a great job, Looks like bonnet (typical i had a spare in blue a few months ago) front bumper could be plastic weldered possibly, Needs a new grill and 1 headlight i would say, Are there wings ok?
I would say
bonnet £180ish
Front bumper £250ish
heradlight £150ish
grill £50ish
Plus putting the car back together and any paint work, Not gonna be cheap mate :-(

Phoned up my ins company and all reported. Scooby gets picked up and I get a car of some sort while they fix my scooby. I just have to pay my excess.

To low an impact. If you want to hawkeye it then now is the time as if the front panel is damaged then you can change it, but it's not likely an ins approved shop would entertain that work anyways.
Just make sure your happy with there work, as some ins shops turn out bad work. Make sure they mark down damage, miles and petrol too.

Insurers will need to know they aren't paying any more than they would have to to put it back to standard, or as was if you have mods declared.
Garage will need that in writing from insurers and from you to say you will pick up any extra charges.
Worth looking at, I'd say.
did it for my lad on his Ibiza, it came out with fitted front foglights, better grilles and colour coded red headlights, twin lens jobbies.
I bought the upgrade bits for him, cost me all of £100.

+1. Just metal, a bit of a p1sser yes but you are still here in one piece.
Make sure you go over the job with a FINE TOOTH COMB when its handed back. I had mine done and the bloody company didnt even replace the radiator. It was a little more pushed up than yours as well. Just make sure you can see all the work that has been done, and if unsure take someone else to run an eye over the paint shade etc.

I will sure have a very very good look when I pick it up, no matter where it goes. As for a colour mate I will have to take the girlfriend with me for that one, I am colour blind.

it wont get written off, just hit his policy next yr
being colour blind may make it stand out more, if you black and white car pics it makes paint shades really obvious.
