listed in my accessories price list for my 01 it shows quickshift gear change atŁ211.50 +fitting, can anyone tell me how much to expect to pay for fitting, and does this make a considerable difference when changing gear /driving has anyone else got this fitted?

I have a MY99 and put it this way, I wouldn't own a Scoob without one.

The standard gear "throw" on a MY01 is quite short, however, once you've tried the quick shift mod, you'll never want to go back. I went for the cheap option from Scoobymania, which consists of a replacement lever (cost around Ł50 + fitting). The only downside is that 1st is harder to engage (it was bad enough with the standard lever!).

If you want to make the throw even shorter, then fit a MOMO gear **** too - this actually mounts lower than the standard ****!

I have one on my UK300 and agree with Tiggs that it is not particularly good value, but it does make a difference (esp with the momo gearknob) and I wouldnt want to be without it now.

Cool

I also had it fitted to my UK300, I think they quote about 33% less travel, I like it and would not go back, evan if they refund me the Ł245 it cost including fitting.
