MY97 (9/10), MY99 (9.5/10), MY01 (7/10).
Liked the MY99 best. But thought it needed better handling(less understeer mainly).
MY01 has been a bit of a disappointment. Better handling all round, but feels rather "gutless". Looks are at best "questionable". Though don't think it would take too much to tidy things up.
Liked the sti I drove at Knockhill a couple of weeks ago but can't justify the cost.
Currently waiting to see what's on offer next year with the standard WRX. Failing that, could be a complete change for me! eeek!!
I know that I could modify. But as I only keep cars on average 18 months (high miles), it aint worth it.

Refinement is far better on new model, but does everyone want this on a Sports saloon ?

MY00 full Prodrive treatment - 9/10 for performance, 8/10 for handling (this is with Prodrive mods) but 5/10 for the bloody awful seats (never could get comfortable on a long trip).
MY02 STI UK - 10/10 for performance (now it has 7K miles, would have been 8/10 in the first couple of K), 9/10 for handling and scores way more for build quality and seats than the previous two.
