Default Lost engine!!

I sold an engine through Ebay last month, buyer paid, all good.

I booked the courier for pick up but he never came. Turns out they needed a contact number for the buyer so I emailed him and got his number, passed to to the courier and it was uplifted the next day.

Fast forward over a month, and no engine has arrived???

I forwarded the booking receipt and order number but now the courier says it was never picked up? They dont have any records to confirm it was collected!!!

Now the buyer has issued an ''item not received'' case on Scumbay so the payment has been reversed on my account

So now Ive an engine gone AWOL, -300 in my Paypal (which is f@cked anyway) and cant list anything for sale on Ebay until the issue is resolved.

Pi$$ed off is an understatement.

Are you saying the courier company hasn't now got the engine? If you had it picked up (your contract is with them (to deliver it)) with proof of this then the issue is theirs to resolve - sue the courier company?

You must have something to confirm the couriers picked up the engine

Booked through Speedshift but it was a subby in a Sprinter van that picked it up.

I have the confirmation email, order number and printed receipt that it was booked for pick up but theyre now saying this is just a booking number and doesnt prove it was picked up.

They have offered me a refund of the booking fee so gues Ill just have to refund the buyer and write this one off.

Did you not have to sign anything when it was picked up. Sure I remember having to sign a receipt when I sent some wheels. The driver took one copy and gave me another.

I send pallets out everyday with various couriers. I always get a signed receipt from the driver.
No receipt no proof, Doesnt look good mate.
So was the driver in plain clothes in a plain van? Even so he should have had some paperwork.
Iv heard scams where an employee of a courier company will send a mate in a van to the pickup address before the proper courier gets there and just say hes a temp driver from --- and make up a story if asked about paperwork.
Good luck with your issue.
