Default What drive train classic parts fit a blob

As the title, just bought a blob wagon and wondering what will fit off my v3 type r.

First things i'm after changing on the blob are drop links, rear arb, anti-lift kit.

Then i was wondering if it would be possible to use all of the drive train off the type r so as to get the dccd ect onto the blob and what else i might need to do this.

Cheers.

Technically your gearbox will fit,DCCD on your Blob WRX should work with Neetronics DCCD controller, this cost around £150-£200(used),but not sure if will be better than your which you have all ready fitted

So your saying i could fit just a controller to my existing 5 speed box that is already in the blob.

I have not heard of anyone doing this, do you know or have you heard of someone who has done this?

No your box in blob is not DCCD,for DCCD you are need more than controller..

I'm running in mine wagon PPG which is originally from Classic,at moment is non DCCD,but for DCCD we will need new diff and DCCD will control Syvecs in mine case.

Technically yes,you will need diff and gearbox(from your Type R),not sure on hubs(these as well can be reused from type R) and controller, your clocks are OK in the Blob, you don't need new clocks..

Here is NEETRONICS DCCD CONTROLLER

Here is DCCDPro Universal Controller, its cheaper than Neetronics

Why?

Simple how you want control DCCD on you blob, without the controller, simple if you are fitting 6 speed with DCCD on WRX(New age or classic) you are need controller for controlling DCCD.

Simply if you want control DCCD on your Blob you will need controller or your diff will be still open or will be in Open mode

These threads will help there

But i have a controller on my type r the manual thumb roller, and the electronics, i thought all i would need to do is get the sti clocks that has the dccd lights from a newage sti.

Is there some other reason that this will not work?
