Starting a-fresh. Jap Spec Bugeye
Well after owning 4 Impreza's and reluctantly breaking my last one for parts, im back on the scene again. I lasted around 8 weeks with ever increasing withdrawl symptoms
Well its dark so pics will need to wait, but the drive back from Newcastle was lush. Very smooth and very solid. Its extremely low mileage and other than the zorst its performace standard. The appearance has been altered slightly, but there all subtle and can be returned back to standard in a flash.
Let the modifications commence, watch this space

Good skills Rob
Im on Impreza number 6! Every time ive sold one i said id never buy another but always do. Apart from owning a Pulsar and an Audi inbetween the 6 imprezas, i turned down the chance of owning an R32 GTR in favour of an STI RA.....I always come back...

Nice one Rob, and you have probably the strongest engine in the newage line-up.
IIRC the Bugeye JDM STi has the same forged internals as the Spec C, RA and the S202 - I know from experience they are strong and can take some abuse.
Good choice, and the Bugeye models always look best with the JDM headlamps.

Cheers mate. The car is fairly standard at the moment, just had a recent service, exedy clutch, plugs, cam belt, fluids, also 12mths ago a brand new Revolution exhaust. Been tempted by the GT35 on here…. Hmmm must resist as I have just paid another huge lump of the wedding only 2 hours ago to stop me becoming tempted LOL….
The Mrs thinks im Mental, in her opinion its exactly the same as the last one PMSL
I think Im on car number 20 in 14 years, need to add em up while its on my mind:
Audi S2 Coupe
RS Turbo I
RS Turbo II
BMW Alpina
Renault Alpine GTA
Peugeot 306
Mitsubishi FTO GPX
Subaru Bug Cypriot car
“Can recall” here
Mitsubishi FTO GPvR
Subaru WRX Wagon
Fiesta (skip runner)
Subaru UK300
Rover D (skip runner)
Subaru UK bug STI
Mitsubishi Shogun Warrior
Subaru JDM Bug
missed some off as I cant recall:
You thinks so, Im not convinced the styling looks right, but what do I know, I get the mrs to do all my cloths shopping as she says I have no taste LOL
Thanks for the info. I knew the internals of a newage JDM were stronger, but I wasn’t aware that they were in the same boat as the list above I only bought the car yesterday, so my first night driving experience is yet to come, but the HID’s or what ever they are seem much better that the UK Headlamps.
I might look into getting some decent EL headers as I fancy the Big Bike sound with added LB’s!
Please elaborate, is it different variable timing than the UK specs?

It made 352hp with stage 1 mods & EL headers. Now its running 443hp on standard ecu with the same headers & supportings mods.

I had RCM ones at first but had to give them back as i was borrowing them. Now i have some unknown make 1 piece EL headers, not the best but upto the job.

Cheers guys, its not as good in the flesh as it looks in the pics. It needs some TLC which if this winter is a bad one can wait until that bugger is out of the way.
As said I dont think the trim is my cup of tea, but if it was lowered (Metal note "stop spending, stop spending)" maybe on coilovers. Oh no its started..... help!
So im still on the hunt for a turbo, not sure what route to take, been tempted by a MD304 VF22, MD321H, special 18G (been specially reworked should be good for 380bhp with amazing spool), and a RCM420.
Oh well plenty time to think it over.
