Dave-T - why do you have so many cars?
surely you can only drive one at a time...
Dingy - I agree with Matt, get a bike...
I might be using the M25 everyday soon I would not even consider this if I didn't commute by bike.

Took me about an hour and a half from Derby to Nottingham today - I guess that's where you were going?
What was going on? - were does the bus lane start? - I thought it was just roadworks or an accident. I got to the Bardills roundabout on the A52 & turned off - it was chaos everywhere.
I do know a good route through to Nottm going via Stanley/Stanton by Dale - much more fun than the A52 although I do use a lot more petrol going that way

Took me 1hour 50 mins to travel into work today.
Which is 15 miles, usually takes about 40 in very heavey traffic.
They have decided to put in a Bus Lane which as totally fvcked up the traffic.
I drive to work in a MK II RS2000, it won't cope with that everyday.
So need a new car or a new Job.

Took my missus 1 hour and 25 minutes to do 8 miles this morning. Apparantly they were also doing a traffic census.
I think they are trying to make traffic as crap as possible to force more people onto public transport, especially if there is a dedicated bus lane that allows the bus to get straight into Notts.
Glad I came to work on my pushbike today

Yes, but unfortunately that was in 1972 and they are all aged 56 now

I'm with Mike on this... Nottingham Rocks! I suspect the new bus lane you're talking about is the one from Kimberley down to Nuthall on the old A610. What they don't seem to realise is that it's the poxy public transport that holds everything up, and just wait till the trams go in!
Apparently in the 50s the ratio of women to men in Notts was an incredible(unbelievable?) 8:1,not so anymore though:-(

Blowdog, i got a standard Black one, as i paid x amount for it and just keeps goin up in value........
It was the A52, and there was a census, but they weren't there yesterday and it was almost as bad. The Census guy tapped my window to get '**** off' worded at him then the lights changed and i was off, as i was allready nearly an hour late.
Nottingham ROCKS - how is that so.....
takes far to long to get into the city by which time you will have died from boredem.
Think i will be looking for a Job in Derby.

You're not complaining about Nottingham, you're complaining about the travel time?
I don't have that problem.
I don't know, you Derby lot...... just you wait until you get all the disruption when they start installing electricity out there.
Mike.

Scooter sales are up something like 300%. Even Branson has started selling them on the net. At weekend I'm out on the bike then the traffic does not seem so bad as its easy to pass. As for Nottingham I met a nurse there whilst I was being treated for a broken ankle, but thats another story, top place though.
