Hi Guys,

Has anyone seen or have pictures of the Revolution front grill to upgrade old look to new look. Does it look good? I have seen it once but cannot find the thread again.

regards,

Jamie

Jamie,

I was in talking to Glen at Revolution on Saturday about the same thing. I'm looking to upgrade MY 95 WRX grille(slotted) with a newer look grille.

He's waiting for some being made up for him and it should be about 10 days I've been told.

Neil

Mmmm, looks a bit too sticky outy next to the headlights. Would look better if it was a bit flatter IMO..

Do they have any new look bonnet vents as well?

Nimbus,

I'm popping into Revolutions tonight so I'll look into the shape, to see if it's not "Too Sticky Outy"

I'll also ask about the new look bonnet vents and maybe any chance of a group discount.

Stratman,

I think I saw your post about this a little while ago. Age old question, do you have any pics??? Interested...

I don't want to ruin mine if I end up not liking the conversion, so I think I'll be on the look out for an old one and give that a go. What mesh did you use?

Nimbus,

I popped in last night and spoke to one of the lads at Revolution. He said that it should be the same as what's on the later models, that's what it's modeled from.
So hopefully not too protruding for you. Ooo Errr

Darren.. I asked about new style vents and they are too in production at the moment and should be there in about 2 weeks. They're also getting some Foglight covers made up for the older impreza's.

As soon as I see them I'll let you know and maybe try and ask on a group buy rate.

Cheers

Neil

Niel,

Thanks mate. I know what you mean. I guess it just looks a bit odd since there's not the same lines in the bonnet as the newer models, which makes it look a bit out of place.

Interested in the vents though.

Cheers

Not wishing to detract from Revolutions business, but if anyone does not like the look of the Revolution grill you can modify your existing grill by cutting out the centre bar, making good with filler, fit B&Q ally mesh to rear attaching with blobs of filler. Spray the the whole thing black. Attach badge to grill ....job done.

I know this sounds bit cheapo and DIY but if you are handy and careful it will look good.

You can see mine, if you want, at the next Northern meet in April.

Yeah I have pics .... which I can email to you, but they dont do it justice cos it was a bit dull and had to use flash, also put a pink "I" badge on and I am not sure if it goes. Might put the old badge back on.

If you dont like the result you can get a used grill from Grade A breakers £40 I think.
Or if you are stuck I have a spare grill which I bought from Grade A just in case.

Hi Stratman,

Could you please mail me your pics to.

I really think the revolution one does stick out a bit oo much. Why cant they make one that is more in line with the old shape but with new mesh without the centre piece.

Many thanks,

Jamie H
