Default Where do I start?

Iv had my 2002 bug for few months now and have saved up a bit of cash put aside for some mods. At the minute she's completely standard apart from an sti back box I grabbed for a 5er on eBay purely coz I couldn't stand the standard twin jobby.

From you pros I need to know what to do next really.

Iv got about £800-1000 to play with.

I'm thinking a nice but not too loud cat back exhaust, an induction kit and I'm not too fussed bout doing too much performance wise. Need advise on good examples of the above.

Bear in mind I'd quite like some money left for body mods. I don't mind the wrx spoiler but like most, would love the sti one. And an sti scoop maybe.

I already got some mud flaps on their way too!

Any advice welcome!

Cheers

What ever mods you do power wise you really need to factor in a remap. And that could be quite a bit of your budget mate.

I know you didn't want to do much with the performance but a panel filter, decat / sports cat a new fuel pump, check on the plugs and an opensource re-map will transform the way the car drives

As above, if you start modding a turbo car you'll need a remap, I can highly recommend Duncan and good value aswell as uses open source.

http://racedynamix.co.uk/

£100 - Prodrive back box (second Hand)
£100 - deresonated centre pipe for some noise
£75 - Walbro fuel pump
£35 - Panel filter, Cosworth, Green etc
£300 - remap, cant quite remember exact price

The above should certainly make a difference and not break the bank.

£610 all in, maybe add on a sports cat if you can find one cheap.

One of these for £300:

and £90 spare for some V power!
