Best fuel to use?

Default Best fuel to use?

Hi all just bought myself a 51 reg scooby 2.0 gx and was wondering which is the best fuel to use, Normal unleaded, or super / higher octane stuff only just bought the car and not sure what was used init before, or does it not really matter / make a difference cheers

A GX should be fine on normal unleaded

Normal is just fine for a non turbo.

doesnt make a difference on a non-turbo mate. 95 is fine but you can put the posher stuff in if you want.

Put a tank of 95 in and see how it runs, next fill up put 99 in. See if there is any difference, my prodrive classic was really lumpy on 95 but also turbo didnt boost well. But sounds like 95 should be fine.

As a UK model it would have been mapped to normal unleaded not like the Japs which are mapped to higher octane.

It means that you only need to use 95 ron fuel, putting 97+ ron in your car will do nothing for it unlike the turbo's which will benefit from better fuel.

95 will be perfectly fine and probably better unless it's had a remap for higher octane fuel.

it's a normally aspirated car. it doesn't need SUL, V-Power or 99
