I have an option to buy a demonstrator (i.e. new 2001 WRX used for 3 months to let customers have test drives in). I can save £1500 which sounds ok. Trouble is, I think people give them a bit of a thrash when they take them out, and I'm worried about this since I hear you're supposed to take it easy on the car for the first 1k miles. Do you think it'll be ok...?

If you're happy to have a car which has been thrashed from new, probably hasn't been warmed up and cooled down properly, then go for it. Personally I wouldn't touch one with a bargepole. I'm sure you could get a similar sort of discount off a brand new 01MY if you tried anyway.

Cheers,

Gary.

have you ever driven one. How did you drive it... ( Remember its a performance car). Times that by 5 people every day of the week. I wouldn't buy one
