Prof Heinz Woolf ~ Egg Weapons !
#1
Did anyone else see the venerable Prof Heinz Woolf (sp?) (famous for the old "the great egg race" prog) on Channel 5 breakfast show this morning? (I don't watch it regularly OK ....I was just getting turned over to channel4 for "The Hoobs ~ Jim Hensons latest thingy......and yes I do have kids!
It's amusing when you see something happen "live" that you know will become a "TV Nightmares" inclusion in the future.....
I just turned it on as Heinz was demonstrating that an "egging" from a few feet away wasn't sore - they break quite easily. Presenter guy (can't remember his name - some geeky slimy guy (naturally)) is wrapped in towels and says "yes...it wasn't that sore" as heinz eggs him. Presenter manages to hold his temper and resist giving Heinz "a good Prescott"
Heinz then goes on to demonstrate the way that he always breaks his boiled eggs in the morning - on his (big shiny) napper (head!)...."see how easy they break".
"Very clever" says girl presenter.
"Sorry - I missed that" says Mr Slimy.
"I'll do it again" says Heinz, and cracks another boiled egg onto his forehead.
"Errr....that one wasn't a boiled egg...was it Heinz".
Cut to Heinz - "well egged forehead"......
Cue histerical laughter from all but Mr Woolf who looked most uncomfortable and embaressed!
Nearly choked on my cornflakes......

Surely Scrapheap Challenge is just an updated version of the Great Egg Race??
Am I the only one who admits to loving this program?? One of my favourate bits was when they had to make a cannon and one of the teams cannonballs got stuck in the barrel, rather pathetically firing the whole barrel down the range.
Best team had to be the NERDS, god knows how they lost!
