Ok, the P1 boys can have their party - how about ours??

How many on here have decided to leave their Impreza's perfectly standard, save for the upgrade of the poxy Hi-Fi??

How many, like me, have not fallen for the upgrade hard sell??

Just wondering if I am alone in being the only 'Normal' one on here??

Go easy with me

Pete

SS Backbox 'may' just allow you into my 'Normal' club, as when my backbox blows I may well upgrade to a SS one (not sure about the noise though?? - the 'look at me' sound and spoilers are for the kiddies)

Anymore 'Grown-ups'??

Mine's completely standard apart from Speedlines. (But give me the cash and it wouldn't stay standard for long).........

It's an air filter, not an induction kit.
Do i have to declare front mudflaps too?

Drumsterphil - are they Gold Speedlines?? as there are strict dress codes in my club - we dont allow drag acts at all!!

Also, you sound like you could be a closet saddo, so I will put it to the members already signed up

Davyboy - I have a family, not really 'wasting' money ..... but it certainly drains it!!!

Paul, spoiler????? hmmmmm, let me think?? does it make you look like a complete dick in everyones eyes?? thats the main test - do people look at you and laugh?? isnt that the spoiler that looks like its falling off??????? cos that really IS a funny looking spoiler!! but clowns are allowed!!

SCD Simon - welcome the the 'Normal' club!!! anyone who supports Middlesbro FC is fine by me!!

DJ140 - there seems to be a trend for Northern Members??

Is this because northerners are a bit more 'clued-up' and dont tend to just follow the rest of the sheep??

Question

Auto-Scooby - Boost gauge?? why???????? I fail to see what use it is?? I KNOW when I am on boost, I cant get anymore than that that is there!!

Its like a Headlamp power gauge isnt it?? yes, the light is shining at XX Lumens - so what?? bu66er all that can be done about it!!

So I will put it to the members - a boost gauge IS sad, but at least its not an external 'Look-at me' toy

Northerners must have more sense than money, maybe.

Having heavily modified my RS2000 Mk 2, in the early 80's, I think I have grown out of the need to have bigger this and faster that "upgrades" bolted to my car. Just enjoy the car as it is.

You didn't tell me if I qualify for your club!

Completely standard MY97, wheels and stereo included!

I don't know how it stayed this way, someone must have buried it before it came to my ownership. I figure it will probably have some rarity value in years to come

I don't plan to mod this one, but I plan to upgrade in a year or so and I'll definitely be wanting a few more bhp...

Does a Prosport front spoiler count? other than that completely standard my98 including wheels. - oh & does colour coding mirrors & side skirts count as modified, these were already done when I brought the car.
