As a new Scooby owner, I want to join the SIDC, however, after perusing its web-site I realsised the FAQ's haven't been updated for over a YEAR (Feb 2000) which I find remarkable considering the changes that have happened since then. I have emailed some questions to them without reply so I dont want to be sending money off until I know somebody is home and I'm going to recieve the all important tax disc holder

Has the web address moved, been updated or what?

I'm probably being a bit thick and I do hope that I am just missing something, but I would be grateful if anyone could let me know what exactly.

The FAQ is currently being rewritten you'll be glad to know.

We are also making the enquiries faq mailing list web based - we get tonnes of emails to faq@sidc.co.uk each day for advice and a lot of you ask the same questions. Therefore a searchable database of questions and answers is whats needed.

The SIDC is getting massive now and we are implementing changes that will make life better for both the members and the people who administer the club. What started out as a club with a member list handwritten in a notebook has now exploded and its how we get good deals on things.

lisa (my wife) who does the membership works part time so any emails sent mon/tue/wed won't get answered until thur most likely. mail to info@sidc.co.uk comes to me and I don't have anything from your email address.

You'll be able to pay by credit card very soon, just one of a large number of benefits we are introducing :-)

I haven't received any e-mails from your e-mail address to the FAQ one recently ?

We usually try to reply where possible within a day to technical queries etc, and if ew can't help, try and direct them to someone who can.

I hope I didn't seem rude and I certainly appreciate the fact that it's a non-profit org. I guess I got a little too excited about the tax disc holder But I will wait patiently along with everybody else.

If nobody asks many questions then no need to update it

Or perhaps the latest FAQ should be "Why is the FAQ not updated"

Sorry just thought I would add my 2p worth, still cant get quicker at CM2 so thought I would just heckle a bit........
