Focus st (facelift)
Been thinking of getting one of these in stead of me sti!!!
Any one had one?? What they like ??? Etc?
The 5 door one appeals to me as I have a young son. But what will the power and torque be like compared to my 340/320 ????
Thanks for the comments

Nice car had one and used the Dreamscience Ultra with it, made about 280ish with a sports cat and panel filter was about to fit a fmic to hopefully get close to 300bhp. Bits are cheap second hand and its cheap and easy to mod really with the handheld units.
Eibach springs are a good early mod.
Liked mine just missed the 'burble' good forum at Focusstoc.com
Here's the old one.

These threads pop up quite a bit on SNET lately as I think a lot of Scoob owners are looking for cheaper running costs. Don't be fooled. I moved from a Blob WRX to a facelift ST. Don't forget its still a 2.5 ltr turbocharged motor. Mine is quicker than my WRX as its been modded to 270/390. Its a very tourquey engine. The car is definitely more 'modern' with the gadgets you would expect in a 2008 car (i.e doesn't come with a tape player!!) but is almost as expensive to keep on the road as the Scoob.
Insurance,
Scooby £550
ST £500
Tax
Scooby £310
ST £260
Petrol (same size tank)
Scooby 200-220 miles
ST 220-240 miles
The main thing I enjoy about the Ford is I don't worry 24/7 that my car will be stolen and I certainly don't miss the everyday aggro you get from boy racers who sit up your **** all day every day.
I don't regret the change one bit but If I owned an STI it might be a different story!

The fuel consumption on them is worse than my STI and because it's got more gadgets it actually tells you it's doing 18mpg on average
For me tax is same, insurance about the same I've gone back 18 months in age to get the STI, 57 back to 06 and put less than a grand in to go back to a Subaru best money I've ever spent.
Torque steer was fine on mine didn't find it a problem, nice good all round car really but no cheaper to run I'd say personally.

Personally I dint rate them, my mate bought one 3 yrs ago and then spent £10,000 at wolf racing having bigger intercooler, quaife uprated LSD , ecu remap,19' wheels tyres, etc. The end result was 300 bhp and a car that got from 0 - 62 mph in 5.6 seconds.
It was a nice refined car, but torque steer was unbelievable, and in the wet ,it was damn near undrivable, with wheels spinning in 1st to 3rd gear.STD St focus hits 0- 62 in 6.5 seconds which is way slower than my My 2000 uk turbo.
