I doubt there are many people with tow bars on a Type R!

You're best bet is to mesaure the distance between the two brackets. On the passenger side, its the one that the exhauset brackets are mounted on.
TBH, I can't see it being any different to the 4 door, are the 2 doors shells the same dimensions as the 4 door anyway?

Thanks for the reply

Ye didnt think there would be many, I've resigned myself to keeping my type r long term, spent far too much money to sell/break it and I'm not going to buy a car just for towing when the scoob could do it

Not sure on the shells, you would have though theyd be the same ?

I thought classic STis weren't meant to tow? Or is that just certain "shapes" i.e. wagon/saloon/coupe. I'm sure I read that somewhere in me handbook.

iirc when a car is bought into the uk they state at that time if they are ok to tow or not, im fairly sure you cannot tow with these, but im buggered if I would know how to check for definate.

Hmmm

How could a car not be OK to tow with though ?

Considering the 4 door classics are ?

some cars are just not allowed to have a towbar fitted for some reason, I have an old Porsche 944 and they make a towbar for one of those, so you would think you could get one for a p1?
