Default Poll peeps om what to do with my scooby

Hi peeps today been a proper **** day for me and mind all over the place

https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...ys-on-ere.html

This is my last thread on getting rid of my scooby

Really don't no what to do with it as was driving it today and the stock y pipe on the intercooler split so rang the aa and got it home fixed that problem only to find when a started it up it won't go into 1st gear

So was thinking either get rid an go bk to my vectras which I have always had or to keep it take it off the road for a bit and spend good money on it and treat it as my project

Really in 2 minds what do ya fink peeps as just bought my mrs a Clio to learn to drive in and use that for work till I get it going perfect again

To be honest a 2nd hand box isn't going to cost the earth so I'd just chuck another box in there and check the clutch while it's apart.

Yeah I'm with Paulo. I would get a second hand box or rebuild the current box.

I'm sure it's not rocket science, not done one on a subaru but i changed my clutch on my isuzu trooper alone. took me 2 days though .

i just downloaded a how to guide and got cracking. saved £400 so not a bad couple of days work.

I have watched a clutch change on my scoob, and it looked a bit of a bugger to get to. As we were looking for a leak from the back of the block, it was decided that it wasn't really any extra time to just take the whole engine out.

If that gives you some idea...

There isn't a lot in it between removing the engine or the box to do a clutch but if the box is buggered I wouldn't remove the engine lmao. Gearbox change is half a days work and it isn't as bad as you'd imagine.

If you get the same box you won't have to change the rear diff so that makes it easier
