10k What's That Get Me ?
Got let down on a Spec D this week it had overheating issues
Have 10k ish burning a hole in my pocket at the minute, been talked out of anything with a 2.5 engine either for pistons or head gaskets.
Fancy a really late blob or some kind of JDM engined car.
Suggestions please as I can't seem to find an ideal car for 10k ish.
Cheers

http://pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2655166.htm I would say this as it's a spec c ,but it's got the 2.5 conversion so I would expect the same thing to happen. Otherwise for 10k its a cracking deal.
Says something about a donor car tho not to sure what thats all about??????

Yeah I saw it an autotrade mail the day after I rejected it (I'm in the trade) someone was after an underwrite on it so I rang them up and gave him the info needless to say he pulled his ad and told the bloke to go elsewhere.
Beware a Spec D from Preston 56 Plate.

go to a main dealer, if they are confident in a car they have for sale they might well give you a subaru 12 warranty. the warranty was good enough on my car to get the dreaded head gaskets done no problems since.

Not to keen on paying Dealer prices just want a private sale, someone parting with a really nice car they want going to a good home.
Not really much JDM stuff out there on the blob or new hatch. Fancy the 2.0lt twin scroll engine. I know a good Subaru garage just need to find a car :-(

Lol yeah I know it works I meant like with no problems I suppose. Don't do big miles 5-6k a year so it's not worth the bother really. Sold a STI 55 Plate 20k on here in about March 09 for £9500 can't get a proper mint one now for that price !!!

JDM all the way, the twinscroll set up is just perfect, Way better than the VF35 on the UK`s, only slight issue i have is the gearing on the JDM box, You`ll always be looking for another gear, great for acceleration but not ideal for the motorway

Thats why I said I was after a late UK blob or JDM car. Wasn't really expecting a Hawkeye and I've owned a Forester STI before now that needed head gaskets so perhaps I'm a little suspicious of the 2.5 engine.
Can spend more for the right car though, just trying to stick to a budget.
