NEVER BUY OFF THIS GUY BEWARE
Basically I brought an alarm from this guy called Barry.

OR
http://sns.mike-graham.co.uk/contact.htm
The prices that he is offering might seem good but the alarm unit he is offering is a fake unit and is an inferior item NOT A GENUINE TOAD ALARM.
The problem started when my alarm suddenly stopped working, three months later from the date I had it fitted. I phone the guy called Barry who fitted the alarm he said that he was busy and could I phone him bad in half an hour. Thinking the guy is on a job and I would allow him some time, so I phoned him back but no answer, I did this about ten time during the remainder of the day. Sometimes he would let the phone ring and sometimes the phone wouldn't ring and go straight through to voice mail. What a CRAP AND SH*TTY SERVICE.
THE SERVICE WAS INFERIOR AS WELL AS THE ALARM
DO NOT THINK OF BUY AN ALARM FROM THIS GUY
I had to get an electrician to fix the alarm who told me that this was an FAKE TOAD ALARM and was able to fix the mess that he left because this was a bodge up job.

After the alarm got fitted and had the problem then I did some research about this guy and he is a fraud. If I knew this before I would have saved some head ache.
Just thought to let people know about this fraudster.

Literally the guy gives good quotes and the guy will travel to you that's why he is so popular. The alarm unit is like a cheap imitation Chinese knock off but the packaging is exactly like the genuine thing. The other thing is that the fob that is supplied has a very limit range, like already mentioned. The guy will also supply you with a thatcham certificate 1 for the insurance company.

I'd like to see pictures of the alarm unit and key fobs to assertain if they are fakes.
Certainly Scorpion (Sigma/Toad) would be very interested in hearing if their brands are being used on counterfeit items: http://www.scorpionauto.com/contact.htm
They should also be able to confirm this via the serial numbers.

VERY IMPORTANT
I have had my Alarm checked out and the alarm is the original module I had the problem fixed by a independent electrician, who checked the alarm and found that the window closure module was in such a place that when the window went down it chopped one of the wires and caused the passengers window to stop working. It also caused a fuse to blow under the bonnet and that put my ABS light on, AIRBAG light on and HANDBRAKE light on and after replacing the fuse from the dealer at £4 it turned the ABS light off, AIRBAG light off and HANDBRAKE light off also cured a slight problem I had with the DCCD. All because of a Fuse in which the guy who sold the alarm could not answer the telephone.
This is the last time I use a Mobile service, after care is ****ty even though if the original price is a steal.
The range of the fob is also about right and had this confirmed by Scorpion.
Just made me go crazy when he didn't answer.

Thanks for the heads up. You ought to do a search for this guy and find out if he posts on any forums to warn others on there and this will start affecting his business. In his defense it sounds like it was not advertised as a genuine Toad alarm any where and never claimed it was such, and products will always go wrong. But if his packaging was "misleading" or photos of the products' packaging was mis-leading, ie to make it look like a genuine manufacturer of alarm, then he is breaking the law. But what I find intolerable is the bad aftercare you have received. No excuse for it and is when you really find out how good a company, or one man band is. Did you pay by credit card? Sometimes within a certain time period you can claim the money back or at least speak to your card company to seek advice if the problems are not being rectified by the outlet you bought the product from.
On a separate note, never ever go to the outlet's supplier (many big companies, eg PC World!, always try to "refer" you to the manufacturer or their supplier if a problem arises, getting you to do all the leg work for them). It is the person or company's responsibility you bought the item from who must sort out the problem.
Or try speaking to the consumer department in your local council. I can't remember the name of the department is who deals with this kind of thing but I had to use them when I had consistent problems with my LG monitor - 2 replacements and all going wrong (worst monitor ever). It wasn't Trading Standards. It was something like "Consumer...something". Although worth speaking to Trading Standards too to inform them of this person. You are doing the best thing highlighting in public forums what this guy is doing.
