In theory you should remap after a decat is fitted due to the reduction in back pressure BUT, I like others have/had a decat on a classic without serious issue. I had a little boost spike on cold mornings with the denser air but aside from that nothing henious.

(Don't put a VTA on it though )

Not a VTA (vent to atmosphere) though is it

(Those nice people at MyHands fitted a lovely Forge recirc item as the horrible, cheap, nasty Baileys item was... well, **** )

Have you got the RA or is that someone else?

A good sports CAT oike Dave's will only be slightly more restrictive than a full decat so it is a good compromise over standard DP to decat DP. Bit more expensive but if you don't have a friendly MOT guy re. decats then a Sports cat is probably your safest option.

Take the car out for a good blast prior to MOT time too - helps with the emissions, although my last Scoob had the emissions of a 1.2 Corsa
