1. Parts at a good price, all the main brands
2. Bulk buy discounts
3. Prompt delivery, not empty promises on delivery dates like other suppliers
4. Good quality customer service, like the young lady at RC Developments.
5. Some original products
6. Fitting services
7. Discounts for me

well from my nightmare latley i look for customer service, the company making calls to you instead of you chasing them. i have been waiting for a gearbox for two week to be delivered, i paid for next day delivery!! ha ha great service, when they deliver it they deliver it to the wrong garage, what a joke. they want your business then when they get it they take the pi$$.
rant over. im stressed, been without th scoob for three weeks, waiting for it to be delivered and fitted, must be longest gearbox fitting ever??

I want convienence and professionalism. I usually use main dealer or Graham Goode for all the bits n pieces as they are the most professional I've dealt with, but realise I pay a premium for that.
I recognise that I also suffer from a money/sense imbalance however LOL

Convenience, preferably local so I can deal face to face, someone I can trust my pride and joy to. Rather lucky in having local main dealer (Beechdale), TSL and Scoobymania within very easy reach of where I live/work.

Thank you for all your comments. It is really useful to hear these for market research.
From what we have gathered it appears that people have been let down on numerous occasions by different suppliers. Price appears to be a factor as well as customer satisfaction.
Many thanks

I think it important that when you do a deal with them they dont go elsewhere if they can do a better deal
Inhouse joke!
The main thing I look for from a subaru performance company is Subaru performance parts. The last company I dealt with sent me a potterton boiler rather than a strut brace!

CBerry, I'm just curious that's all...
Scoobytune states that "From what we have gathered it appears that people have been let down on numerous occasions by different suppliers" yet only a couple of the posts indicate this so I presume the conclusion is gained from the results of a wider survey?

Scoobytune welcome to our world! Thats if you are truely new???
One thing that is important to me is Professionalism and knowledge.
I have learnt a hell of a lot since I joined SN, however I always seem to come across things I know nothing about
Good impartial advice would be good and the policy of selling only what you would use personally would be good... like TSL
Someone mentioned customer service.... I have the Chuckster disease! (money/sense imbalance) and I have on many occasions attempted to buy things of off certain companies and not been called back???? do they not want my money???
I also want to be confident that where I take my pride and joy is in good hands! I must be able to trust the company... and this comes from honesty, good knowledge etc...
I understand business' are in business to make money... so for me I don't mind paying a little bit more than some companies charge to insure a good relationship occurs. (having said that I do not want to be ripped off and if I find out I have been then the trust has gone.)
Good relationships can be built between Tuner and customer but complacency can also become a problem.
This is always a too way thing... but you obviousley need to identify MUPPETS!
Who ever you are.... the fact that you have bothered to ask the question, gives me interest in talking to you in the future...
Thats if you are in the tuning business???

Being let down is de-rigeur, it is just degrees of being let down!
JD power what a laugh...as far as i know it doesn't cover independant services.
When my baby is back on all 4 wheels I will have some fun
